About our Location
Our home is located almost halfway between Geneva and Zurich south of Bern. From Zurich Airport it is a 2 hours
ride by train, and from Geneva it takes 2.5 hours by train. We live in Heimberg, a village of 6'500
inhabitants, about 25 km south of Bern, the Capital of Switzerland. The nearby city centre of Thun is reached by train or car in just 5 minutes.
Heimberg belongs to the district and agglomeration of Thun, which has
a total population of more than 100'000 people.
Access to our Homestay
We can be reached easily by public transport, since the next train stop - called Lädeli - of the railway line Thun-Konolfingen is just round the corner and reachable in two minutes on foot. There is a train every thirty minutes throughout the day, which connects to the intercity trains at Thun to all major cities of Switzerland. All trains halt at this train stop (more...).
By car it is as easy as by train to reach us. We are found just 500 metres from the motorway exit Thun-Nord of the motorway A6 Bern-Thun. There is space to park two cars available right in front of the house. More public car parks are available free of charge nearby at a distance of 100 metres or at the shopping centre at a distance of 300 metres.
About our Homestay
Jui's Homestay is situated in a ninety year old two storey house in the first floor flat. There is a large garden in front and behind the house, which may be used by our guests as well.
There runs a wooden balcony alongside the house overlooking the garden. If the weather is fine, breakfast may be served on the balcony. Or you just sit out there to sip a late night drink before sleeping.
Please note that our homestay is strictly non-smoking. However you may smoke outside in the garden or on the balcony, if other guests don't mind. We also do not allow any pets.
